Terms & Conditions

 

1. ENROLMENT:

Participants wishing to enrol with The Learning Curve Institute can do so by booking a place online and completing an application. In the event of late applications i.e. applications after the closing date or if the applicant is unable to book online, please contact The Learning Curve Institute on +353 98 25530 or email info@thelearningcurve.ie to ensure places are still available. 

1.1  Self-funded Bookings:

To secure a place on Upcoming courses or workshops, participants are required to pay the full course fee in advance of the training. This fee is non-refundable.

1.2 Third Party Bookings and Invoices:

If you are being funded by a public or private organisation to attend a course or workshop, please complete your booking online using a debit or credit card. You will automatically receive a booking confirmation/receipt of payment.

If you or your organisation requires a formal invoice, please contact our office on +353 98 25530 or email info@thelearningcurve.ie and we will provide one for you.

In the event you or your organisation requires an alternative method of payment (e.g. EFT or Cheque) please contact our office on +353 98 25530 or email info@thelearningcurve.ie

The Learning Curve Institute can issue an invoice for 3 or more participants. Invoice payment is required within 14 days. 

 

2. BOOKING FEES:   

€2 from every booking on our Upcoming courses and workshops will be donated directly to Barretstown and The Children’s Medical and Research Foundation, Crumlin.

2.1 Fees for workshops and courses

Fees must be paid in full at least 5 working days before the course or workshop commencement, otherwise a participant will forfeit their place.

2.2 In the case of participants who are being funded by a public or private organisation:

For participants being funded by a third party, it is their responsibility to liaise with these bodies and to furnish The Learning Curve Institute with a letter of approval of fees prior to commencement of the course. All terms and conditions in regard to payment, invoices, refunds and cancellations will then apply to the third party who is responsible for payment of the fees.

 

3. PAYMENT METHODS:

Course fees can be paid by the following payment methods:

  1. Online using a credit or debit card on our secure website: www.thelearningcurve.ie
  2. Cheque, postal order or bank draft made payable to The Learning Curve Institute Ltd.
  3. The Learning Curve Institute are not in a position to accept cash payments.
  4.  By direct bank transfer: Contact office for details on +353 98 25530 or email us at info@thelearningcurve.ie

Note: It is essential that the participant’s name or invoice number should be included with all direct bank transfers.

 

4. CHANGES TO DATES:

The Learning Curve Institute makes every effort to avoid altering course dates. However, should any changes be necessary, you will be notified at the earliest possible opportunity. If the new dates are not convenient you will be offered a full refund.

 

5. REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY: 

5.1 In the case where participants withdraw their booking:

The original booking fee is non-refundable.

5.2 In the case where participants defer their application to a later date or other course:

  • A deferral fee of €30.00 applies. 
  • A booking may only be deferred once. 
  • The request to defer must be made a minimum of 5 working days prior to the course / workshop start date, otherwise the original booking fee will be lost.
  • Deferral must take place within one calendar year of the date of the original course booked. 

5.3 In the case where participants withdraw from a programme of study they have already commenced:

The original booking fee is non-refundable.

No refund will be made to: participants who fail to attend courses or workshops; participants who do not complete a course; participants who begin a course and who subsequently feel that the course does not suit them.

5.4 Allowances for extenuating circumstances:

Certain allowances can be made for extenuating circumstances at the discretion of The Learning Curve Institute’s Board of Directors. Applications for refunds due to extenuating circumstances should be emailed to info@thelearningcurve.ie accompanied by any supporting documentation.

5.5 In the case of a course being cancelled by The Learning Curve Institute:

The running of a course is dependent on sufficient enrolment. In the event of insufficient enrolment, participants will have three options available to them:

  1. A full refund.
  2. Transfer payment to the next scheduled course.
  3. Transfer payment to any other course being delivered by The Learning Curve Institute. All terms and conditions will still apply to this new booking.

 

6. FINANCING YOUR TRAINING:

We at The Learning Curve Institute do everything in our power to keep our fees as low as possible. The following information may be of assistance to you: 

Registered employers can contact Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection or the Local Employment Service as it may be possible to reclaim fees (at least in part) for employee courses through retraining grants or tax incentive schemes.  

Individual candidates seeking assistance with payment of fees may be eligible for financial support from the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection, their Local Employment Service, Partnership Boards, Enterprise Boards, Chambers of Commerce, Community Employment Schemes and The Back to Education Initiative.

 

7. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

When payment for a course or workshop has been submitted online, by cheque or bank transfer, I am aware that I am subject to the above terms and conditions.
