Personality Types and Disorders

Personality type is a key determinant in both how therapist and client bond therapeutically and in the nature of the presenting issue itself. This workshop will explore the dynamics of different personality types and how these individuals differences need to be specially engaged with.

Presented by Kevin Fehin, Senior Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist. Kevin is currently employed in the Adult Mental Health Service with the HSE. Among other qualifications he holds a Masters in Psychoanalytic Studies.

Members of The Psychological Society of Ireland and The Addiction Counsellors of Ireland can receive learning credits/CPD points for completing this workshop.

“Kevin has the ability to explain complex concepts in an extremely clear and understandable way. He is very engaging as a trainer and held my attention for the entire duration. He provided very useful information and insight from his therapeutic work  - it was one of the best training sessions I’ve done.  Almost all of the information was new to me but it felt like we had enough time to explore and interrogate the information being provided.”

“The workshop contained a wealth of interesting insights. Even though I am not a therapist or a counsellor, it was very relevant and helpful to the work that I do in the homeless services. I felt that Kevin's depth of knowledge and experience brought a richer context to the subject, and I felt that what he shared with us was only the tip of the iceberg of his understanding, skill and knowledge on the topic. I also enjoyed his wit, which added a relatable cultural backdrop to certain personality disorder descriptions.”

“The training was exceptional, Kevin has such a natural, authentic style that engages the listener.  The content was excellent and so well delivered, I have recommended this module to so many of my colleagues since.  You all provide such a remarkable service, in a professional and yet “laid back” style, it’s such a pleasure being a participant knowing I will have a great learning outcome each time, thanking you very much!”

"I absolutely loved the workshop, it was very informative and most importantly, the information was delivered in a way that it could be easily understood and assimilated. My deepest congratulations to Kevin, such an amazing trainer. The background in relation to trauma was exposed in a clear manner, it's obvious he has huge knowledge in the area."
